Carolina Agüero is an archaeologist of the University of Chile. She holds the Masters in Anthropology from the Universidad Católica del Norte (1994) and currently follow a PhD in Andean Studies in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. She is associate Professor of the Institute of Archaeological Investigations and Museum of the Universidad Catolica del Norte in San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) and Editor of Estudios Atacameños, Arqueología y Antropologia Surandinas. As an investigator she has specialized in Southern Andean archaeology from the Formative (1000 BC) to the Inka period (1450 AD) particularly working from the perspective of analysis of archaeological textiles. She has developed various researches and written some publications, some of which can be found in this site.
